A quick, steamy and mild angsty read. Told in dual POV, 3rd person. It’s the fourth installment in the "Night" series. The next book is about this couple but this one doesn’t end on a cliffhanger. Overall, I had a good time with this one and hope you enjoy it as well!

ARC BOOK REVIEW
Release Date-17/4/18

While not my overall favourite of the Night Series novellas this was still an enjoyable read.
Set away from the Soren nightclub gang; this is only loosely connected to that world, with Cam making a brief appearance at the beginning when he visits Luke for business; I did feel this was mainly included to adhere this to the rest of the actual series and not for any added value Cam brought to this story.
It was so brief if you blinked you could have actually missed it.
Although the phone call here for Cam from his boys back home; did make me chuckle.
So "Sweet Obsession" (Night Series #4) tells the story of Luke and Ash; each has been in love with the other for years but because of a series of misunderstandings and Ash's actual age these two are like a modern Romeo and Juliet; Oh except they don't die at the end and there's actually nothing tragic in their story at all; scrap that the only thing in common these two have with Shakespeares doomed lovers is the fact that they are star-crossed that is it period.
This is all about the smooching and the sex with just a smidgen of angst (and I mean Teensy).
look this does what it says on the tin it's pulsating hot antics will get you steaming under the collar and ready for some sexy shenanigans all of your own.
This is dirty but also achingly sweet as well; there's a touch of the taboo here also with Luke watching Ash grow up; don't mistake me everyone's of age here; I think Ash is Twenty-two and Luke fourteen years older which would make him thirty-six.
Luke is also Ash's former guardian so that also adds to the overall dynamic portrayed here.
This was a short but enjoyable read and the only reason ive marked it down slightly is that I enjoyed the previous novella a bit more. Mainly because it had the added bonus of all my old friends in it as well.
I want Rhyss and Wade's story like so so much sigh.
One slight observation before I toddle off; i'm agog at the staying power of these boys; like seriously impressed it's like its a superpower or something.
How many times can they come in one night; there like the bleeding energiser bunny on steroids.
I'm exhausted just reading about there Olympic standard bedroom bonking.
So there you go a sexy short adventure just waiting to be devoured.
Thank You to the Author for providing me with an ARC copy of "Sweet Obsession (Nights Series #4)" of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

Sweet obsession is book 4 in the series. It’s a short story that can be read as a stand-alone, however the next book is also about the same two characters. This is a gay romance. It has an older guy with a younger guy. The older doesn’t want to ruin the others future.

3.5 stars out of 5. I received a free copy as part of the blog tour for the last book. I would recommend reading the series as it enhances the story.

I rather liked this short. I have to take exception to the author calling the sex "wickedly filthy". I do not believe that it is or was. It was hard to believe that Ash was a virgin but that was up to the writer.

Quick and Dirty

Another short steamy read in the Nights series. We've moved to Singapore for Luke and Ash's story. Ash thinks Luke doesn't want him, but Luke's been keeping his distance because Ash is all he wants!

4 Stars!

Sweet Obsession is the fourth installment in the Nights Series and it can be read as a standalone. However, I loved the first 3 books in the series and I think you'll be missing out if you don't read those.

This book was about as hot as the previous ones and I really liked Luke and Ash. Even if Luke seemed like an arrogant ass at first, there were reasons for his behavior. Were they good reasons? Well, I'll leave that for you to discover. I'll just say that I found it a bit hmmm, far-fetched, maybe? I mean, Luke was a 30-year-old man, a billionaire at that, and with his resources, I would've hoped he could've found a different way to deal with that issue. Ash was adorable and it's undeniable they shared a strong bond despite the five years they'd spent at odds. And the sex scenes, well, if you've read the previous books in the series, you'd know there's a lot of those and they're all hot, hot, hot, the number of times the MCs can come in one night notwithstanding. ;)

While I didn't particularly care for the arc with Ash's aunt and uncle, they were truly despicable, but I guess they served their purpose. Although I'm not convinced we've seen the last of them. It was lovely seeing Cam at the start of the book, though, and that little exchange over the phone with Ethan, Gabe and Joe was priceless!

All in all, while not my favorite in the series, Sweet Obsession was still a really good read, it had a couple of cringe-worthy moments, but they weren't enough to diminish my overall enjoyment of the story and I'm looking forward to book 5, which will continue with Ash and Luke's story. Recommendable!

In the fourth installment of the ‘Night Series’ we’re introduced to a new couple, although we still get a glimpse of our favorite Tokyo foursome.

Luke and Ash make a beautiful couple and are quite perfect for one another. While in earlier books I felt like there was quite a bit of “Insta-Love”, there is no problem with that here. Their feelings for each other have grown and developed for many years until they finally meet again and move forward together.
The whole background story of why they stopped speaking is pretty far-fetched and even took me out of the story a little bit as it didn’t seem to fit in with the rest of the book at all. But as it wasn’t the focus of the book it was fine with me.

They fell into bed pretty quickly, which was as hot as ever, but considering the way Luke treated Ash I expected a little more resistance at first, no matter how much they already loved each other.

I rated this book 4 stars as I enjoyed reading it quite a lot, even though I didn’t much care for the plot.

Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.

This is book 4 in the Nights series. You don't NEED to have read the other three before one, because only Cam makes a brief appearance. But you SHOULD read them, because, I made a new shelf for them and everything! The other three books are down and dirty, and they take no prisoners or make no apologies for that.

This one, I found, while still hot and steamy, and it does have a great back story to why Ash was shipped first to Stanford and then to Singapore, it just didn't quite hit THAT spot, you know?? And it pains me, because I love this series!!

Both Ash and Luke have their say, so we get it all from both sides. We get what Ash thought he saw, that fateful night 5 years ago, and we get what really happened from Luke, and how he afterwards that caused him to push Ash away.

But these two admit their feelings to each other?? It's almost like Cam and Gabe all over again, cos this takes place over one evening into the next morning, and these guys get down and dirty and I loved that their first time together was extra special.

There isn't a HEA, but there is a Happy For Now. I have the next book to read soon, so we shall get their happy ever after.

Because it doesn't quite hit THAT spot,

4 stars

I always love when loves a lifetime find their way to each other. These guys have a particularly unique history which made it hard to start a relationship. I’m on the fence about them…there is a bit of a ‘creep factor’ that is hard to overlook but I’m going to because I really want to see what happens with Rhys and Wade in future installments of this series.

I liked the emotions between them…how much these two loved each other and wanted to protect each other. The dialog with Ash’s aunt is over the top and a little silly. I did not like the ‘I was thinking of you while I was with other people’ notion we get in this book. That’s just wrong on several levels and should be left alone.

My nit-picky issue from previous books just will not go away and that is the author’s continued unnecessary use of the word ‘latter’ to set the scene. That is truly driving me nuts.

As stated above, I’ll stick with this series so I can read about Rhys and Wade because I’m very intrigued by them.

Sweet obsession is a short story introducing us to Luke and Ash. Because of the death of both sets of parents, Luke became the guardian of Ash. Ash has been in love with Luke for as long as he can remember. Luke feels the same way about Ash but knows it won't ever work because of something that he did. The unfortunate incident Ash witness when he was seventeen made him believe Luke wouldn't ever want him.

Forced to go to Singapore at Luke's demand has thrown a kink into Ash’s life. He is not prepared to have Luke tell him that he will be finishing school in Singapore. They are at odds with each other when their apparent animosity crashes down around them and they both give into their feelings.

A short, very hot story that will continue in the next book in the series.

I'm powering through these short and fun novellas rather quickly. They are rather quick reads, but sometimes something a bit racy that you can power through in one sitting more or less is just what you're in the mood for. This time we meet a couple that I don't think that we've come across before? Luke and Ash. They are, as with the others in this series seriously rich. Luke was Ash's guardian when he was younger, there is a 14 year age gap between them, so a fair size, but not huge and their younger relationship was more like brothers or friends than anything that would make this too seedy.
Like the previous stories, there's plenty of sex (which, is a little like saying that you might get slightly damp if you fell in a swimming pool).
As you might gather, these short stories are all fairly similar in style and structure, but it works, so why change it? On to the next one...

I was disappointed to the new faces but satisfied with the read....

Luke and Ash who are they? Where did they come from? Why now? I am not sure to all the answers but I can say that it was a nice read with a little bit of tension and flowing read. This was easy to get in to but at the same time it had me wanting to know how this connected with the others that we have meet in this series. There was no mention of these guys before the drop of this read. Luke was the protector the alpha. Ash was the young innocent. They were both decieved and manipulated. It took years for them to come together and get a piece of happiness. All this unfolds in one night.

Sweet Obsession is steamy hot scenes held together by a somewhat flimsy backbone of story. At only 101 pages, it barely reaches novella length, but the story told is wrapped up nicely without feeling rushed.

The sexual tension between Ash and Luke is well-written and believable, and the fireworks of their sexual gratification is hot enough to leave you wanting a fan. The introduction is a little slow, but once the sexy-time train gets started, it doesn't really stop.

If you're into erotica, this is definitely a book worth picking up.

Sweet Obsession by A.M. Salinger is a quick, steamy MM read. It's entertaining and enjoyable, however, it is fast paced and I feel like it was a bit rushed. The story starts off well enough with Ash flying off to Singapore at the bidding of his former guardian. The same guardian he's been in love with forever. After that, a lot of the story goes out the window and it's all about the bedroom. The story is good. I loved the chemistry between the characters and loved them as a couple. 3.5 stars.

Sweet obsession introduces us to Luke and Ash. There was a series of misunderstanding and circumstances that drew them apart they get back together and enjoy a HFN. The only thing that ties this series in with the other books would be a short albeit funny appearance of Cam and a phone call he receives from the rest of the guys back home. Other than that this book seems so different almost like a complete standalone. I didn't hate nor did I love it. It was just OK.

This is a quick and very hot read. Luke and Ash grew up together for awhile, Luke was 14 years older. When the past comes back to haunt them. Luke moves Ash to where he lives in Singapore. Things heat up pretty fast. A great book! I received an advanced reader copy for an honest review.

WOW

I absolutely love this series. I can't get enough. I never put the books down until I'm finished read the entire story. Then I have to wait for the next one. This book, by far, is the best one yet. Each one is better than the one before!!!!! Awesome author, she doesn't just put words down, she feels everything she writes and it shows in her stories.
