Ash is finally Luke’s but now there is trouble in paradise! Because of their age gap (fourteen years), Luke thinks Ash doesn’t know what he really wants yet and decided to...

With their love and their future at stake, can Ash force Luke to face his fears and admit they truly do belong together? Or will Luke’s stubbornness and remorse tear their burgeoning relationship apart?

Told in multiple (mostly in dual) POV, 3rd person. It’s the fifth installment in the "Nights" series with characters crossover. You can’t read it as a standalone, at least you should read book four first! It’s a bit angsty and not cliffy. Overall, it was a good quick read and hope you like it as well!

Luke and Ash’s story continues. Luke the older guy used to look after Ash. In this instalment we get all the dirty laundry and their romance grows. It’s a quick read with a tainted edge.

3.5 star out of 5. *I received a free copy as part of the blog tour for the last book.

4 Stars!

Sweet Possession is book 5 in the Nights series and while most books can be read as standalones, you need at least read Sweet Obsession (book #4) prior to starting this one. I do suggest reading them all, though, they're pretty hot novellas.

Ash and Luke have been living in sexual bliss for the last two months, but it isn't long until Luke starts having doubts that he might be getting in the way of Ash's future.

So, if you've been following my reviews for this series, you should be aware this is erotica and as such, the focus is on the very steamy sex scenes that Ms. Salinger writes so well.

I love Ash, he's just 22 but he's very mature for his age and knows what he wants. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about Luke, who is 14 years his senior and is feeling insecure that he's stopping Ash from finding a nice girl to settle with and start a family, even if Ash has never been interested in girls and has been in love with Luke since he was very young. And then, rather than talk to Ash about it, like the adult man Luke is, he just starts pulling away from Ash, to the point of moving into a hotel. My problem with this, other than the lack of communication, was that I would've loved that Luke actually worked to make things right with Ash and not just have it brushed it under the rug.

Overall, I'm still enjoying the series, and really, other than wanting more groveling on Luke's part and less readiness to forgive on Ash's, it was a great read. I loved John, Luke's assistant and his voice of reason, and it was lovely catching up with Ethan, Joe, Eveline, Gabe and Cam. I'm already looking forward to Rhys and Wade's story!

Recommendable!

Happily Ever After

Sweet Obsession ended with a happily for now and this second part to the story has Luke once again second guessing the relationship. Again it's up to Ash who although 14 years younger, really is the more emotionally mature of the pair. Fabulous cameos from the rest of the gang made this an enjoyable, albeit brief read

Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.

This is book 5 in the Nights series, and you should AT LEAST read book 4, Sweet Obsession before this one, this is a continuation of Ash and Luke's story.

I LOVED books one through three, but four and now five, have been a bit of a let down. Maybe I just don't like Luke and Ash, you know??

This has a little bit of a story, thrown in with some hot and steamy stuff, and a lot of Luke being a total twat of an idiot thinking about what he thinks Ash needs. And rather than talking to Ash, he runs. Much like Cam did when Gabe says those three little words.

I loved that Ash could make the famous Luke Rutherford lose his cool and totally let himself go and take from, and indeed GIVE to, Ash, what they both really need.

Loved that we get an appearance from Gabe and Cam, and Ethan and Joe.

I dunno WHY these two books didn't quite work for me, I really don't and you KNOW how much it pains me not being able to word the feelings!

BUT!! In book 3, I saw something going on between the two guys who own the company Gabe works for. THEIR story is next, and I cannot wait to read it!

So, I'm sorry, but...

3 stars (but please keep these coming!)

‘Sweet Posession’ is the 5th book in the ‘Nights’ series and it is just as good and steamy as the rest of them.
It continues the story of Luke and Ash from the 4th book which was pretty great as I really like the two of them and enjoyed reading more of them.

In this book their relationship takes a darker turn, at least in Lukes mind. Despite everything they’ve been through he decides Ash shouldn’t be with him, because it will ruin Ash’s chances of good future and true happiness.
Only instead of talking about it with Ash he simply distances himself and when things come to blows he thinks the worst of himself and takes off again. Ash on the other hand enjoyed what happened and is even more confused as to what’s going on with Luke.

They do eventually work things out though and we catch a little glimpse of Ethan at the end.

Another 4 star read for me, as was the rest of the series.

Luke was Ash’s guardian. He fell in love with the boy while he was still a teenager. When he finally gave into his feelings he knew he wanted Ash forever. Luke feels complete when he is in Ash’s arm. Something he has never known before. But when he lets his doubts get the best of him, he pushes Ash away. Rationalizing that Ash will want a family someday and he can't take that away from him. When in reality Luke is just scared.

Ash doesn't give up and when he confronts Luke publicly, they make up very easily. Both knowing they are meant to be together.

This isn't my favorite book in the series. At times I felt like it was just filler to get to the next book. Ash forgave Luke for being stupid to easily. I think Ash was the adult in the relationship, Luke was the childish one. They get their happy ever after so I guess that is all that matters. I enjoyed seeing the guys from the other books.

Well, I'm powering through these now. I think I may need a little break before tackling the next one. I do enjoy them, but they are very much all on the same theme and I need a bit of variety now and then.
This is the second book featuring Luke and Ash and this time they get their HEA. Like some of the previous couples, they need to overcome their fears to really commit to one another, or at least one of them does.
Like many of the other books, sex features very heavily in this storyline. Let's face it, that's what these books are really about. There are also, again, cameo appearances from previous couples and I think that we have met almost all of the couples that will make the following stories. I would like to see a bit more of Ethan though. He is by far and away my favourite character in the books.
No doubt I'll get to Wade and Rhys shortly.

This is the first book I have read by this author. I love Luke and Ash’s story! It was so HOT! It was a quick read. I love the other characters that were friends of theirs and hope to read more about these characters. Great chemistry between them. I received an advanced reader copy for an honest review.

As stated in my review of Sweet Obsession and just like that book, I read this one just because I really, really want to read Rhys and Wade’s story. The angst in this book was contrived and unnecessary. The plot was predictable. This couple never met their potential life-love story which was disappointing.

Ash and Luke get their happy ever after. It was just ok. I gave it 3 stars because of the appearance of the rest of the guys. Gotta love Ethan!!

Luke and Ash’s story is beautiful. Book 4 & 5 tells their story. Brilliant reads. Read them you don’t know what you are missing.
