Nights Series #6

The Proposition

Rate this book
They call me the Charmer. My best friend Wade tells me it’s because I’m suave and mysterious. But he doesn’t know my secret. The one I’ve kept hidden from him for twelve years. The one I will never reveal to him — Rhys

They call me The Brute. Probably because of my physique. And, let’s face it, because I’m a total dick at times. So Rhys likes to tell me anyway. Thing is, there’s something Rhys isn’t telling me. Something I’m dying to hear from his lips. His sinful confession. You see, I know Rhys’s secret — Wade

Rhys Damon has spent most of his adult life watching Wade Tucker bed woman after woman, his dark desire for his best friend and business partner a secret he is determined to take to his grave, since he knows it will never be reciprocated. With their design firm thriving across two continents, Rhys finds himself content burying his heartache in a string of meaningless, casual sex arrangements. Until the night everything changes.

When Wade Tucker stumbles upon his best friend calling out his name as he pleasures himself, he knows his relationship with Rhys will never be the same again. A year later, the memory of what Wade saw is still branded in his mind and his feelings for Rhys have evolved into something he never anticipated. As tension mounts and the relationship between the two business partners becomes increasingly strained, things finally come to a head the night Wade follows Rhys and discovers him with another man.

After an explosive confrontation, Wade makes Rhys a proposition he can’t refuse: that they try things out for six weeks. Six weeks of exploring a side of each other they never knew before. Six weeks of torrid kisses and sultry touches. Six weeks of screamingly good, scorching hot sex. Six weeks of utterly losing themselves to one another.

But as the end of their proposition looms in sight, can Wade persuade Rhys that he wants more? Or will Rhys’s deep-seated fears stop him from fully surrendering his heart and soul to the one man he thought he could never have?

Discover Rhys and Wade’s wickedly intoxicating story in this sixth novella in the hot, contemporary romance series Nights by A.M. Salinger. Note from the author: although each book in Nights can be read as a standalone, you will enjoy this series even more if you read the books in order!

This is a novella length MM romance with a HEA.

The proposition is a hot as hell Male/Male short story romance. Business partners Wade and Rhys are successful together. The two friends think they know each other well, but one night a year ago changes everything. Now there is a strange friction between them and the sexual tension is steaming. One knows he’s gay the other can’t stop thinking about his best friend. When the truth comes out their relationship will never be the same again.

This read is sassy, passionate and witty. It has fire in it and I’m a fan of this kind of story. 5 stars out of 5.

This was a book I picked up based solely on the blurb. One, I love a good friends-to-lovers story, and this promised me one. Two, I enjoy reading m/m. I don't read a lot of it and I'm picky but then again, the blurb really got me excited.

Wade and Rhys are best friends and business partners. Rhys however has been in love with Wade for a long time. The problem he doesn't know about his feelings nor does he know that Rhys is gay. This was a great set up that got me really excited. Unfortunately, the execution was disappointing.

Look, I don't mind lots of sex in my book but not at the expense of the story. The Proposition had plenty of sexy times, too much in fact that the characters barely interacted with each other outside of the bedroom. There were no character developments or meaningful interactions. They just had sex. A LOT.

This was a short book so I wasn't expecting deep exploration of their issues but I did expect a story about two best friends falling in love. I never got that. The romance was woefully underdeveloped. Wade and Rhys would have a conversation about boning each other and then they do it. In the next scene, they'll talk again about how hot they are for each other and then screw each other's brains out.

Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

It got tiresome almost immediately. In fact, there were other things that I found tiresome with this book. The bi-erasure is one. It's almost like a person can't be attracted to both sex ever. Another one was how this book was set in Japan but the only significant characters in it are all white. No joke. There were like three Japanese mentioned, one had one or two lines. The rest were all white. It was kind of jarring for me.

Maybe I'm being nitpicky but even without those issues, the story and the characters were still big disappointments for me. The only saving grace and the reason for the 2 stars is the author's writing style which I liked a lot. That's it.

Amy's Review

The sizzling sexual tension and hotter than hot sex scenes in this book were amazing.  I don't know what it is about an M/M book that just does it for me but, this one nailed it.  I eagerly devoured every word as Wade and Rhys discovered one another's bodies.  It was some of the sexiest scenes I have ever read.

The problem is beyond that the book just didn't really do it for me.  The majority of the book was based on what went on between the sheets.  I needed more of a storyline than that.  Rhys has been in love with Wade for most of his adult life, that sets you up for a magnificent story but, it just wasn't there.  What we did get between these two out of the bedroom made me crave more but, this book just didn't deliver.

I really did enjoy this book as it was but, I was let down by the potential of a storyline that just never developed.

The Proposition by A.M. Salinger was a scorching & wildly entertaining read. It tells the beautiful story of unrequited love between two best friends, Rhys Damon & Wade Tucker.

Rhys has been in love with his best friend since they became college roommates, years ago. Wade has always been a little intrigued by his secretive best friend & business partner.

So what happens when Wade unintentionally finds out that Rhys is attracted him? What happens when Wade realizes he’s checking out his best friend in a not-so-innocent-best-friend way? What happens when Wade becomes jealous of his best friend dating another man? That green-eyed monster rears its ugly head and Wade takes a step he didn’t imagine he’d take.

When Wade confronts Rhys about his feelings, the two men delve into a relationship that neither of them saw coming. The blaze between them becomes an inferno and neither can stop it. All they can do is fuel the desire to levels they never imagined possible. Will they burn too brightly or will they settle into a low, steady flame?

I’ll be going back to check out the rest of this very talented author’s works.

GFY is one of my favorite tropes ever. When it's best friends turned lovers? Even better.

Going in, I hadn't read any other books in this series. In fact I've never read this author. The blurb sent to the blog email roped me in though.

This book was on the shorter side, and in fact that's one of the things I didn't like about it. I wish we could have gotten more length that came with more depth of the characters.

Overall though I really liked the steam, humor, and the side characters that left me wanting to pick up the other books in the series.

The prologue set off steam... "I feel like I'm going out of my mind. I have never been filled with such desire before. The desire to take. To brand. To tame. To see him submit to me. But also to cherish. To protect. To revere...One thing I'm certain of. I will never let him go. He is my world. And I am his gravity." And ended with a blast... "Because I love you, Rhys. It doesn't matter that you're a man. My soul chose you a long time ago...He wanted a declaration. An affirmation. A promise."

The owners of Damon and Tucker had a long working relationship and a longer friendship. But one night everything changed and the status quo would never be the same again. I friggin loved these two from start to finish. Once secrets were revealed, it was all steam forward. Wade never faltered in what he wanted and was determined to get his man. Rhys on the other hand hesitated. After all, he had known his friend too long and there was no way he was changing just for him. When Wade offered a proposition, Rhys knew he had to accept or risk never experiencing the man he'd wanted forever. But was this all doomed or would they find their way home, especially with doubts still hanging in the balance?

I have to admit, I have not read the other books in the series, but you can bet your bottom's dollar I have made a decision to slowly discover this world.

I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author through Xpresso Book Tours.

The Proposition is book 6 in the Nights series and while it can be read as a standalone, some of the characters from the other books have cameos in this one. Plus, really, if you enjoy Erotica, these books are scorching hot and you're missing out if you haven't read them.

I loved Rhys. He'd been in love with Wade for 12 of the 16 years they've been friends, always certain that he didn't have a chance, at least until the moment when Wade finds him out on a semi-date with a guy that could've been Wade's brother. And from there, his straight friend Wade throws him for a loop when he proposes them to be together and have sex for 6 weeks. I loved Wade, too, and while he was patient and tried to make Rhys see that he wanted him, I can't say I blamed Rhys for not believing it when Wade's change was so out of the blue. Still, I adored them together, they had unbelievable chemistry and if you've read any of the previous books, you already know that Ms. Salinger writes some of the hottest, most passionate sex scenes, so you really can't go wrong with it.

Overall, this was a fantastic GFY story. The progression was really natural and organic and it felt right. I loved that Wade refused to put a label onto what he was feeling, and that he fought for it and Rhys. And of course, I loved seeing all the guys (and ladies) from the previous books. I'll be looking forward to more!

This is the sixth book in the Nights series but can be read as a standalone as I had not read any other books in this series. It is also a novella.

Wade and Rhys have been best friends for over twelve years but Wade did not know that Rhys was gay or had the hots for him until he finds Rhys getting off shouting Wade’s name. Fast forward one year and the tension that has abounded since that night is finally out in the air.

This was a super hot and steamy read but lacked the angst I feel two best friends would go through when their established relationship moves to something much more intimate. I also felt it needed an explanation about Wade and his change of sexuality or was this purely a gay for you situation, I think it was but hard to read between the lines. I would have loved much more romance and angst to give this read more depth and emotion. It was mainly about the sex and more sex which was written well but it just needed…more.

Overall a quick romp of a read between two hot best friends so was a three star read for me but could easily have been a four star if more depth covered.

The much awaited Wade and Rhys's story is finally here! I had been very eager to read about them ever since they grace the pages earlier in the series. We have no idea what went on between these two business partner, but the sexual tension is undeniable. I'm looking forward to a very heated hate sex.

The heat factor in this book was cranked up at level 10 from the beginning. Like seriously, no breathing room whatsoever before they went at it again and again. The marathon sex is just crazy good. I mean, most of us read this series for the sex and the author definitely deliver and then some.

However, the romance plot could have been more drawn out. I think despite Wade being suddenly gay for Rhys, the transition is too fast, the dilemma is almost solve instantly. Most of the page are definitely filled with sex. Is only until towards the end we get a little bit of drama due to a misunderstanding. I think Wade and Rhys's story fell a little flat compare to Gabe and Cam, which I think have more depth.

Wow!!! Hot, steamy, funny, fluffy... all of my favourite things in one book. I was pleasantly surprised by all the scenes between our main characters Wade and Rhys.
Although, I would've liked even more, if there was more storyline and actual real talking between those two. I would've loved to see them live together and learn different things about each other, other than the physical things, of course.

However, I loved reading the book in one sitting. The writing style was nice, not so complexed.
I received an ARC of this novella and was really excited to read it. I had no idea it was a part of a whole series and now I am even more excited to read the other parts as well.

The Proposition is hot and sexy and emotional in a way that I was not expecting. Rhys and Wade's story is truly a friends-to-lovers tale. The beauty of the story and in A.M. Salinger's writing is that I really felt all of Rhys' trepidation and hope and longing, as well as Wade's desperation and intensity. This was my first book by the author and even though it read great as a standalone, I was so impressed and enthralled by her words that I want to read the rest of the series. 4 out of 5 wine glasses.

This short 90min story is sexy as hell!

Rhys and Wade are business partners and best friends.

Rhys has been secretly in love with straight his friend since their college roommate days. Not only has he been hiding his feelings from Wade but he’s been hiding his sexuality as well.

One night a drunken Wade stumbles to his friends apartment to sleep off the alcohol when he gets an eyeful of Rhys in his bed — and calling “Wade” when he climaxes.

This trope has been done countless times before. Nothing new here but I still really enjoyed the story.

Wowser

This is my favourite book of the series so far. Rhys has loved his straight best friend and business partner since college. Now, 12 years later, it looks like Wade might finally be on board. This is a sweet, sexy, steamy story of love, lust and finally, a happily ever after

Well shimmer my timbers. Is it just me or is it wrong to find M/M Romance even hotter than the traditional romances? I mean seriously.... HOT DAMN. I think it is hot in here; is it hot to you?

Whew.

Yes my comrades, I enjoyed The Proposition on so many levels.

Rhys. Oh my lanta - Rhys is just divine. He is very much hidden from Wade on his sexuality but is still very open with himself that he loves men. More importantly he is in love with his Best Friend, Wade, which is why he hides himself. I like Rhys because he is so cautious yet up front and beautiful. He is an honest person when confronted and really just a sweet heart - just downright mesmerizing. Wade on the other hand is really brooding, charismatic character. He also has this presence that was absolutely captivating. He is compassionate and understanding, actually he is entranced that Rhys is sexually attracted towards him yet hurt that Rhys has hidden this side of him after a decade of being friends.

I said it before and I will say it again - simmer my timbers comrades... That chemistry was definitely amazing. My quivering loins can only take so much beaver drool scenarios. Raw, pure steam-filled connection. Wade and Rhys together - mouth watering.

Obviously I can say, and I did say how deliciously scrumptious the chemistry is between Rhys and Wade, but something I will also mention is the drama and conflicts that occur while the lovers discover their feelings. Wade of course is straight, Rhys is completely conflicted with how to approach this. He definitely worries that Wade is just 'experimenting' while Rhys is very much in love with Wade. So there is a huge disconnect, really forces drama that isn't really there. Wade on the other hand takes the situation full force, he wants Rhys, not just has his best friend but as his lover. He never knew he would be in this point emotionally or physically in his life - definitely something he enjoys experiencing. Really just sets a relatable, believable scenario between these fictional characters that the reader just cannot help but fall in love with.

And those secondary characters.... oh drool much?! I loved how there was this connective situation between the main characters and the dynamics of the secondary characters. Everything circling the characters really aided in the drama factor plus the blossoming romance of Wade and Rhys.

I will admit too, I read this without knowing this was a series! So that sent me through a doosey. So although you can read this as a standalone, I will admit after reading the synopsis for some of the other books within the Night Series, I definitely plan on going back.

Overall - this was a great read. I loved Wade and Rhys relationship. The multilayered dynamic that was their chemistry spoke volumes as they evolved business partners and best friends to lovers. It was such a beautifully fun romance that I couldn't help but swoon hardcore. The book boner is strong with this one my comrades!

Readers looking for a bit of afternoon delight will get just that with this m/m-fueled friends to lovers romance. Teeming with eroticism readers will be left parched and blushing, courtesy of the numerous erotic encounters driving this story to its satisfying conclusion, while enjoying the friendship between two men caught off guard by new and unexpected feelings. From the first page to the last readers will be caught up in a sensual haze that makes this an enjoyable addition to the Nights series.

Rhys and Wade have been friends for years, sharing a business and supporting each other unconditionally. Something’s changed within the last year though, feelings and secrets come to light that are slowly changing everything. Will their friendship survive or will giving in to temptation mean the end of their closeness? It’s an important question that gives both of them pause, but not enough to keep them from scorching up the sheets in one encounter after another. This is a story full of endless foreplay that had a lot of style but only a bit of substance. Readers don’t get too deep of a glimpse into either of these men. We get the most basic of facts while enjoying their fun and flirty banter. There’s only a moment of angst in a story that’s otherwise all about their changing friendship and their time spent between the sheets. While I love stories that give a lot of bang for my buck, I would’ve loved to have gotten to know more about these characters on their own. While the glimpses of them from earlier books in this series intrigued me, I felt a bit cheated here as we still don’t know much more about them than before. That’s not to say that they’re not likable though, because they definitely are. Their interactions brought a smile to my face as they were full of charm and playfulness. They’re different in looks and demeanor but these differences carried into the bedroom to make their interludes even hotter in scenes that left me exhausted.

On a whole this was an entertaining read, a carefree one that didn’t require me to think. I merely sat back and became captivated by the numerous erotic encounters. I enjoyed the main characters and was rooting for them every step of the way as their friendship evolved into something more intense. While this novella is a nice addition to Ms. Salinger’s series it’s not an earth-shattering one. It’s the kind of story you read for pure escapism and at that it succeeds beautifully and it’s one I recommend to readers looking for a bit of steamy fun.

[I recieved an digital copy for an honest review]

Let me start by saying I had no idea this was a novella, I must have totally missed it while residing the synopsis lol even after reading it, it didn't feel like the novellas I have typically read. Was it a super fast read? Yes. Did it feel like it was missing parts or needed more? No. I felt it was perfect for Rhys and Wade's story, and that is coming from someones whose never read any of the other books of the series and has never met these characters before.

This book start out hot and heavy with the prologue and doesn't stop. These men have some filthy minds and some dirty mouths. It was a little more in your face than M/M romances I have read in the past but I liked it. The sexual chemistry between Rhys and Wade is intense and you can feel with reading, this is definitely a book that will leave you hot and bothered.

"He started his attack in earnest, probing Rhys's lips with his tongue, seeking enterance, dying to get his first full taste of the enigmatic man who had bewitched him body and soul."

"But patience was the last thing on Wade's mind right now. He could barely breathe, let alome think coherently. Not when he was this close to Rhys and touching and tasting him."

This is my first A.M Salinger novel and I already one clicked the first book in the series because I really enjoyed the writing and the fast pace of the story.

Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.

We met Rhys and Wade in book 3, but I would say you don't need to read the other books before this one. You don't NEED to, but you'd get a better enjoyment of these if you did. And this is book 6, so get a-reading!

Wade and Rhys are partners in the firm that Gabe works for. They've know each other some 16 years. Rhys has lusted over and loved Wade for 12 of those years, and Wade has lusted over Rhys for just 12 months. 12 months ago, he caught Rhys pleasuring himself and calling out Wade's name when he did. So, 6 weeks. They have 6 weeks to get whatever *this* is, out their system. But will 6 weeks really be enough??

Did I mention that I made a new shelf for these books? No?? Oh, well I did, and I called it "fan yourself, it's a hot one!" Books one, two and three are sitting there, and now they are joined by book 6!

Because Rhys and Wade have blow your socks off chemistry! That much was obvious when we met them before but here? Once these guys admit they are doing this, this proposition, they are all in and I think they could probably give Cam and Gabe run for their money!

I loved that both men, separately of each other, came to the conclusion, very quickly, that 6 weeks would NEVER ever be enough. That it took a silly misunderstanding on Rhys' part for them to openly admit their feelings.

Loved that Gabe and Cam (books one and three) and Ethan and Joe (book two) take part here. Luke and Ash (books for and five) are mentioned, but don't appear.

These guys do say those three little words, but they also have another book planned, which is book 9, so I'd say they have their Happy For Now, rather than a Happy Ever After.

Who is book 7 and 8?? No idea, don't care, wanna read them regardless! A certain someone is a little hard done by here, and I'd love for him to have his own book.

After books one through three were five stars, we slipped a little with four and five, but whoosh! Just like that, we're back up to..

5 super sexy stars!!

The Proposition is the sixth in the Nights series by the talented A.M. Salinger. The Proposition can be read as a standalone, because I did, but I wish I could have read the series from the beginning! Rhys and Wade have been best friends and business partners for years. Rhys has been harboring feelings for Wade for twelve long years. Wade is a ladies man and never thought about his best friend in a sexual way until one night he sees him alone and in the throes of passion. Wade can't get that sight out of his mind and when Rhys starts to act different and more distant, Wade can't stop himself from propositioning his best friend. He wants to explore this new attraction he has for his friend and the feelings he knows Rhys has for him. He's only asking for six weeks of his days and nights. And when it's over, they can see how they both feel. Their time together starts out with a bang and it only gets hotter the more they explore each other. But what happens when their time is almost up? Will Wade want more? Will Rhys be too afraid to ask for what he really wants? I loved this story. It's is one of the hottest m/m books I've ever read! I was so taken with these two sexy, funny, intense men. I felt for Rhys and his heart and I love Wade's dominating passion. Together they were sexy as sin in and out of the bedroom. Overall, I laughed, cried, got very hot and bothered and wanted more!

Rhys Damon was mesmerizing. And Wade was completely and utterly captivated.

Lust. Pure, adulterated, blazing-hot lust. And it made him want to do all sorts of wicked things to Wade.

Whoa, it's getting hot in here. The angst and super smoking sex in this novella will get you all fired up when finished. Although this is book 6 in the series, I was able to jump in and read as a standalone and not feel completely in the dark.

Rhys and Wade have been friends for over 12 years. Now business partners living in Tokyo. Over the past year the relationship between the friends has been a little off, some strange tension that can't really be explained. Well that is to anyone looking in, Rhys and Wade each have their own reasons for the distance that has grown between them. Will their friendship/partnership survive this sudden need for them to takeover a project as partnered leads?

Will this project bring them back to the old? Will it be the final force that separates them for good? Maybe secrets will come to light and the tensions will be resolved?

This was a new author read for me, while it was a fun quick escape read, I felt that I wanted to know more about the characters, I suspected the change from friends to lovers to bring more struggles and concerns along the way. Sometimes I struggle when reading novella's as I want the depth of a complete novel. I did enjoy what I read and I think I will look for a full novel to try next from A.M. Salinger.

And another book in the “Nights” series. Even though I usually prefer longer books I just love this series. I like the writing style and the plot is usually perfect for the length of the story.

As with the previous books we aren’t just introduced to new characters but we get to know characters from previous books better.
This time we follow Wade and Rhys (am I the only one who immediately thinks about book-boyfriend #1 Rhysand??) as they finally allow their feelings for each other to bloom.

I liked both characters, although I don’t get why Rhys didn’t tell Wade he was gay, even after more than a decade of friendship.
I also didn’t really understand why Wade took so long to confront Rhys, it didn’t seem like he needed all that time to come to terms with his feelings or anything.
On the other hand I really admired Wade for the way he reacted to his feelings. He didn’t try to deny them or anything. He simply accepted them and then set out to do something about them.

I rated this book four stars and can’t wait for the next one in the series.

Rhys Damon is not happy about the turn of events. Wade Tucker is the man in charge. Expect some graphic conversations. Maybe you don’t like books that are very explicit, than you may need to rethink whether you want to read or not. I was impressed with how our author treated her characters – each scene felt very real. If I had one downside it would be the way Wade didn’t seem to be conflicted about the change in their relationship - especially if you look at his past. Even though these are two businessmen this story is more about their personal interactions.

Who says a romance between two men can’t be sexy? Well they should check this book out because this may change their mind. I know there are some that are just uncomfortable about this type of story. But this a story about people who are comfortable in their skin and enjoy each other’s company – the emphasis here is people. If you’ve read far enough you’ll see that Wade says it perfectly. Some may think this sad but everyone deserves happiness. And I was happy when I got to the end because our author is not done with these two gentlemen yet.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Number six in this short novella series. This time we have Wade and Rhys. Unlike the previous stories, Wade and Rhys have been friends for a long time but until recently Wade has been unaware that Rhys is gay and he himself has been straight. After walking in on Rhys one day, Wade has started to develop some kind of feelings for his friend and things have become very strained between them.
I do enjoy friends to lovers stories, in this one though Wade seemed a lot keener than Rhys which I wasn't completely convinced about. He is, after all, the one who would be making the big changes.
Like the other stories in this series, these are very short with a lot of time spent in the bedroom. They work as standalone stories, although characters do appear from previous books. In some ways, they are almost better as standalone books, or at least with a gap between reading, as they do have a bit of a formula type construction. Don't get me wrong, I do really enjoy them, but reading them one after another as I have been, they start to get a little samey.
I've already read the next in the series, so it will be onto book 8 next, then followed by the final book, which I'm quite looking forward to. Especially as it will hopefully have more of my favourite character, Ethan.

****3.5 STARS****
****ARC Received for Honest Review****

I found this book very steamy, sexy and fanned myself the whole entire book. In the beginning of the book, I was all in, found myself ensconced in the story and really enjoyed every paged. But then I started losing the story of two best friends who found something amazing in each other, and was just getting this incredibly hot as sin sex scenes. Don’t get me wrong….sex done right is amazing sex, but I missed what I was getting in the beginning of the book. Other than that, it was a great book and would recommend it to others to read.-Review by Catherine(Catty)

This is definitely sexy times to the max. If you are looking for a good m/m book with lots of holy cow batman that is super hot, then this is the book for you. Centering around two best friends and business partners, Wade and Rhys, see how a long time crush becomes more. Wade never knew Rhys was gay, let alone attracted to him, but when Wade accidentally catches Rhys call out his name one night, Wade can't get the image out of his mind. What follows is so hot and steamy! (Review by Terri "Jane")

Since this was my first ever A.M. Salinger read, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved it. Not many people can do justice to M/M but the author did so good.

Wade and Rhys have been friends for years. While Rhys knows everything about Wade, he hides the most important part of his identity from his best friend. That's not the only secret he's keeping. Rhys has been in love with Wade and has spent every moment making sure Wade never finds out. But what if Wade already knows? What's Rhys going to do then?

OMFG this book was s o d a m n h o t. At one point I had heart palpitations because I couldn't even deal with these two.

Rhys is my sweet little boo with dirty filthy thoughts. I adore how proud he was about his identity but still has doubts like normal humans do. Wade, this man needs a goddamn medal! I LOVE LOVE LOVE how A.M. handled his sexuality. It's wasn't decorated with unnecessary flourish instead was simple and absolutely amazing.

A.M. Salinger definitely has a fan in me.

This novella was just one scorchingly hot read! From the prologue to the end, you'll be consumed by the lust set off when these 2 best friends finally take the jump and get down and dirty.

Rhys has been pining over his straight best friend for 12 years! To cover his feelings and tge fact that he is even gay, he spends his nights with random men to scratch the itch. He has no idea that Wade is hiding his own secret!

When Wade stumbles drunk into Rhys' apartment one night he sees Rhys masturbating and screaming out his name. To say that he is shocked is a gross understatement. He is pissed that his best friend has been hiding this secret from him all these years, but finally he can't take it anymore. He takes matters into his own hands rather forcefully. You can imagine Rhys' shock when he finds out that Wade knows his secret.

The rest is mind blowingly hot sex, but Rhys does have his insecurities that I can't blame him for. How can his straight best friend truly be interested in him? Wade has to be the aggressor to get past these insecurities, and it's hot as hell!

I am never one to pass on an M/M romance. Seriously, when I see a new M/M story I nab it up right away. Plus an M/M book where friends turn to lovers? Yeah, I HAD to grab this book ASAP.

The Proposition starts off with Wade coming over to Rhy's house drunk and discovering his best friend is not only gay but also into him. A year goes by after this discovery and Wade is struggling with anger and hurt that his friend didn't tell him.

When Wade follows Rhy on a date he becomes super jealous and tells Rhy that he wants him. Wade makes the proposition that they take six weeks to figure out if what they have is real. Wade figures out really early on that he's in for the long haul, he knows he needs to convince Rhy he is too scared to hope that the man he's been in love with for twelve years would want him back.

Oh, how I enjoyed this book. I enjoyed the switching of perspectives so I could read about how Wade and Rhy were working through everything. The sexy scenes were flamethrower hot. Seriously I loved every second on this story. Two best friends falling for each other? Too cute.

For years Rhys has watched Wade have meaningless encounters with numerous women. Telling himself he will never do anything about the want he feels for Rhys. He doesn't know that Wade accidentally saw him one night pleasuring himself and yelling Wade’s name as he finished. Wade, not really understanding his jealousy, follows Rhys one night and discovers him with another man. Enraged, he sends the other man on his way and follows Rhys back to his apartment. He's totally pissed when Rhys tells him he has lusted after him for years. Angry that he never told Wade how he felt. They decide to give them selves some time to figure out what is happening. One small glitch that they work out quickly is the only real angsty moment.

GFY sex, a lot of sex, a lot of hot sex. Also not a lot of plot to this one but I really enjoyed it anyway. Rhys and Wade may be the best couple in the series.

The Proposition by AM Salinger is such a steamy read!

When I first started reading this book, I was unsure if I was going to fall in love with it. The characters did not grab my attention on the first page, and the storyline seemed overdone. But... you know what? I kept reading. I finished those first few pages, and ended up devouring the rest of the book.

Rhys and Wade definitely take the steam and tension to the next level. Their hotness both individually and for each other is something of another world. I loved getting to see how devoted and passionate they were for one another.

After reading The Proposition, I will definitely be picking up more books from this amazing author!

I am a sucker for a good MM romance and hadn't read one for a while so I figured I'd give this new to me author a shot. I liked the premise, the blurb had me thinking heck yea this is gonna be awesome and hot.

Well the hot part held true. There was a lot of sex. A LOT. But other than that, Rhys and Wade's story fell a little short. Maybe it was because I hadn't read the other books in the series and I was missing something but I don't think that's it.

The Proposition had the potential to be so much more than a super sexy roll in the sheets. Especially since Rhys had been in love with Wade for ages but the story that went along with that just never truly developed.
